Terms of Use

Effective November 1, 2026

These terms cover your use of Hintbird. By using it, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

The service

Hintbird is free. There are no accounts: your private link is your login, so keep it safe. Anyone with a link can see what that link shows.

You must be 13 or older to use Hintbird yourself. Children under 13 use it only through a link a parent or guardian sets up.

What you enter about other people

Suggestions come from AI

Cards and gift lists are picked by AI (Claude, by Anthropic), and the reasons are written by AI. They can be wrong, out of date, out of stock, or unsuitable for a particular person. Before you buy, check the age rating, safety warnings and details on the retailer's page, especially for children.

Prices and Amazon

Price ranges are typical ranges across stores, not quotes. Amazon sets the actual price and availability, which can change at any time. As an Amazon Associate Hintbird earns from qualifying purchases. You pay the same price either way, and commissions never decide what goes on a list.

Photos and trademarks

Product photos show the kind of item we mean and may differ from what a retailer sells. Product and brand names belong to their owners, and Hintbird isn't affiliated with them. If you own a photo and want it removed, contact us below and we'll take it down.

Fair use of the service

Don't scrape, overload or try to break the service, or use it to build a competing catalog. We may limit or remove access that does.

No warranty

Hintbird is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that any gift will be right.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Hintbird and the people who run it aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for anything you buy from a retailer. Our total liability for any claim is limited to $50.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in Maryland.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use Hintbird after a change means you accept the new terms.
